You know, both Buddha and Jesus new the truth. Both Abraham and Muhammed pointed the direction to the truth. The path to seeking power and control is doomed to enslavement, suffering, and death, for self and others. The path to compassion for all brings freedom, hope, healing, and reconcilliation, for self and others.

It is folly to think in polarized either / or terms. We are individuals, each sacred and unique. And we are members of something greater, all living things, consciousness. Each of our unique gifts can contibute to the liberation of self and all. And every Spiritual Tradition, even the evolution of life itself points to the purpose and reason for existence.

Compassion, For self and all others, all life, not just tribal affiliation. Development and sharing of unique and wonderful gifts, for the benefit of self and others.

Acceptance (not perpetuation!) of suffering and death as part of existence, and the recognition that the Greater Purpose is to cultivate compassion and gifts to mitigate suffering and bring about reconcilliation and healing. For self and for others.

May the Peace of Christ, the Compassion of the Buddha, the Faith of Abraham and Muhammed, the Love of God, and the Communion of the Holy Spirit inspire us to cultivate healing and reconcilliation, now and forever.
