Sacred Breeze Ministries - In the Beginning

Genesis

In the beginning, when God created the heaven and the earth.  And the earth was without form, and void.  And darkness was upon the face of the deep.

We begin at the beginning, with a formless void.  And from the formless void, God created the universe. 

In ancient Sumer, the formless void was Nammu.  From Nammu, Sky and Earth emerged, An, and Ki.  From An and Ki, all things were created, the gods, the universe, life, and humanity.    

In Buddhism, primordial emptiness is the ground of all existence.  And within that emptiness lies enlightened, omniscient consciousness.  And within that omniscient consciousness, all things exist. 

Physics

In quantum physics, Space-Time is filled with Quantum Fields.  Whether Higgs, electromagnetic, or any particle field, the architecture is the same.  A Quantum Field is ubiquitous and omnipresent, and part of the fabric of space and time.  Within the Field, virtual possibilities boil constantly, and all possibilities exist simultaneously.  Field is the womb from which all things emerge; all photons, all particles, all of reality.  Within Field, all things are possible.

But Field is not alone.  Within Field, in Communion with Field, Wave emerges.  While Field carries all possibilities, Wave describes probabilities.  Wave determines the probability of the existence of photons and particles.  Until Wave acts upon Field, Field only carries possibility.  When Wave acts upon Field, Reality emerges.  With the communion of Wave and Field, Field gives birth to Reality.  The possible becomes probable, and the probable becomes real.

Trinity

One might consider the fabric of reality as a triune model.  The Field represents the Essence of all, Infinite possibility.  The Wave represents the intent or purpose within the field, transforming possibility into probability.  And physical existence emerges from the Wave acting on the Field.

It’s a rather romantic system to visualize.  A vast open field, like a field of dandelions, with an invisible breezelike wave flowing over and through the field, enabling fertilization and liberating real, floating seeds from their stalks.  It brings to mind Genesis, where the Breath of God, Ruach, passes over the waters and bringing forth all of creation.  Or the Buddhist Trikaya, where Nirmanakaya, manifesting physical reality emerges from blissful intent, Sambhogakaya, acting on the Essence of all, Dharmakaya. 

And after the particles and photons of creation emerge?  Life and Consciousness emerge from Energy and Particles.  And Love emerges from Consciousness.

Emergent Love

What?  Love you say?  Heresy!  There is no room for Love within Consciousness!  What is this metaphysical nonsense?

Consider this.  Reptiles walk away from their offspring, before they are born.  Human beings care for offspring for 18 years or more.  With evolution, love emerges from Consciousness.  Love of offspring, mates, herds and packs, tribes, and nations. 

When Enlightened Beings emerge from Consciousness, they describe Love that transcends family and nations, and includes all of humanity, all living creatures, and all of creation.  Love that is Essence, Field, Nammu.  Love that carries infinite possibilities.  With Consciousness that breathes waves of possibilities, from which reality emerges.  And life. And consciousness.  And Love. 

Love, consciousness, and material existence, all emergent properties, all emerging from the communion of Field and Wave.  Womb and Seed.  Love and Consciousness. 

All of reality emerges as probability from infinite possibility. 

Antithesis

The thesis of emergent life and love sounds romantic and wonderful, but everyone knows that reality carries with it suffering and loss as well.

Entropy is a property of physical existence.  Entropy constantly pulls apart energy and matter, dissipating energy and reducing matter to its most stable state.  

But life operates on a principle called autopoiesis.  While entropy breaks down energy and matter, life is constantly building and growing.  With evolution, life becomes more and more complex, countering the pull of entropy. 

Still, entropy works on individual lives.  After being conceived and born, over time, individual lives break down, and consciousness leaves the physical substrate on which it was developed.  Field draws her children back to their origin, back to the Dharmakaya, the Nammu. 

When life is lost, conscious beings who carry love and compassion recognize suffering and feel loss, and ask why?  How?

Motivation

Motivated by Love, feeling empathetic loss, consciousness beings go to work.  Consciousness beings look to the stars, and within.  Conscious beings explore the fabric of reality, until the origins are discovered.  Origins.  Photons, Particles, Waves, Fields.  Infinite possibilities, and finite probabilities.  The nature of creation.  Life.  Consciousness.  Love.

The motivation for conscious beings to learn and explore is the very entropy that breaks down matter and dissipates energy.  Suffering and Loss motivate compassion, and fuel the questions of why?  And how? 

Danger

While seeking answers, conscious beings discover terrible secrets.  Powerful secrets. Secrets that carry the potential to destroy all life, all consciousness, and all of creation.  Secrets that also carry the potential to end suffering and loss, and to create rather than destroy.  Conscious beings discover the building blocks of all matter and life, Physics and Biology.  Conscious beings even develop non-biological consciousness, Artificial Intelligence.   

What will save us from ourselves?  What can motivate us to use our knowledge to create, rather than as a weapon to bring destruction?

Tribalism, which is love manifested within the limited scope of family and nation, threatens to bring death and destruction.  Love that Transcends the limitations of family and nation would use knowledge to end suffering loss.  Transcendent Love would motivate conscious beings to cultivate creation into unimaginable, infinite possibilities.  And from the myriad possibilities, motivated by love, conscious beings increase probabilities, which become reality.  Sound familiar?  And thus, creation comes full circle. 

Recapitulation

In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth was without form and void.  The formless void.  Nammu.  Dharmakaya.  The Field, the Wave, Emergent Creation, Life, Consciousness, and Love, motivated by the suffering and loss of entropy to cultivate creation, life, consciousness, and love.    

The point?  The purpose? The Enlightenment, the Nirvana, the Keys to the Kingdom?  The origin and the destination?  Love.  Possibility, probability, existence, life, consciousness, and love.

Conclusion

And now the warning.  Unless we, humanity, evolve to allow love to transcend boundaries of family, tribe, and nation, we will destroy ourselves. Family, Tribe, Nation, and even cultures and faiths are all limited and inadequate.  Our faith traditions and philosophies all tell us this.  God of all Creation, Ground of All Being, Omniscient Emptiness, Brahma, Buddha, Allah, Yahweh, and Yeshua Shem Meschiach, even Atheistic Humanism – all point to the same truth.  Transcendent Love is the source and the destination, love for humanity, all life, and all of creation.  And without Transcendent Love as the guiding principle, destruction will be the end.  With Transcendent Love, all things are possible.
